farewell

Welcome

At farewell, I offer compassionate emotional, practical, and physical support throughout the dying process—caring for both people and pets, as well as their loved ones. Whether it’s assisting with planning, creating a comforting environment, or offering a steady, supportive presence, I am here to help. My goal is to bring compassion and calm to this deeply personal journey, ensuring the transition is as peaceful and meaningful as possible for everyone involved. As a trained funeral celebrant, I work to craft and lead personalized ceremonies that honour a life. These ceremonies are tailored to reflect the unique personality, beliefs, and values of the one being celebrated, offering a space for healing, reflection, and remembrance that feels true to their story.

End of Life Planning

Together, we’ll create a clear, organized file of your wishes, documents, and end-of-life vision. This can include gentle support with decluttering—letting go of items and choosing meaningful belongings to pass on. If you like, we can note why each item matters and who it’s for, easing the burden on your loved ones and leaving a legacy of care.

Vigiling

Vigiling with those who are dying is a sacred and compassionate act of being fully present as a witness and companion during the final hours of life, offering gentle kindness and awareness to ensure they are not alone.

Family

Pets

The loss of a pet is profound, yet society often underestimates this grief, compounding the pain of an already significant loss. Pets are beloved companions, woven into the rhythms of daily life, offering unconditional love, emotional support, and stability. Their passing may be the loss of a deeply meaningful relationship, deserving of compassion and reverence. As a pet end-of-life companion, I complement the vital work of veterinarians by providing emotional, logistical, and spiritual support to pet owners, ensuring a holistic and compassionate experience during this difficult time. When needed, I guide families in preparing for euthanasia by helping them approach this transition with love, intention, and presence. From creating a calm, supportive environment to guiding families through personalized rituals and ceremonies, I help honour the profound bond between pets and their families. Whether through grief support, preparation for euthanasia, or ongoing care, I strive to ensure this transition is met with love, intention, and dignity.
